The Nulhegan Abenaki Tribe is one of the four state-recognized American Indian tribes in Vermont. Mostly unnoticed by the dominant community, the Abenaki’s of Nulhegan are deeply rooted in the Vermont landscape and to the preservation of our culture. We are the descendants of the indigenous peoples who rely upon the lakes, rivers, and watersheds around New England for sustenance, travel, and life.
