Chief Don Stevens is often contacted by businesses looking for someone to fill a position. The good news is that, when they contact him, they are looking for Abenaki citizens to fill the position.
With that in mind, this page will be used for posting jobs. We do request that you contact either me (Francine Poitras Jones) or Chief Don to let us know to take the job down if the position has been filled.
Hello Chief Stevens,
My name is Anna Morris, and I'm the Director of Onsite and Outreach programs at the Vermont Institute of Natural Science. We are beginning to look for candidates for our summer seasonal positions, and I would be grateful if you could share these openings with your community. I've attached the descriptions for the two positions we are hiring for. Please let me know if there is other information you need, and I'd be happy to provide it.

The Vermont Studio Center in Johnson VT often has positions available. They are not art making or teaching positions but our employees have access to the international artist community and full time employees receive a free studio for their own practice. You can learn more about our organization here https://vermontstudiocenter.org
If you have members of your tribe who are interested in mental health work, who are unemployed or underemployed, please reach out to me. I’d love to talk to them about union jobs, primarily direct service roles, available to them locally in Lamoille County.
