Chief Don Stevens is often contacted by businesses looking for someone to fill a position. The good news is that, when they contact him, they are looking for Abenaki citizens to fill the position.
With that in mind, this page will be used for posting jobs. We do request that you contact either me (Francine Poitras Jones) or Chief Don to let us know to take the job down if the position has been filled.

Dear Friends & Partners,
Stowe Land Trust's Conservation Program Manager, Elisabeth Fenn, is moving on from Stowe Land Trust at the end of the week to pursue her graduate school studies and other work opportunities. For those of you who have had the chance to work with Elisabeth over her 3+ years with Stowe Land Trust, you know that she has brought a lot to our work, organization & community since she joined our team as our AmeriCorps Summer Naturalist in 2018. We will miss miss her, but are excited to see where her ventures take her next. If you'd like to contact Elisabeth directly to thank her and wish her well, she can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org until Friday, October 22.
We have posted the Conservation Program Manager position here with a full job description and information on how to apply.
Please circulate within your networks and encourage anyone whom you think might be a good fit to apply by the November 12 deadline.
Having done this job myself for several years before Elisabeth, I can attest that it is an awesome opportunity for any VT conservation professional who loves working outdoors and with people on behalf of land and community!
Thank you & be well,
If you have members of your tribe who are interested in mental health work, who are unemployed or underemployed, please reach out to me. I’d love to talk to them about union jobs, primarily direct service roles, available to them locally in Lamoille County.

Be aware, having a COVID vaccine or request for exemption is now a condition of employment. From the job announcements:
As always, I am available to talk with students or others about careers with NRCS, navigating USAJOBS, the application and selection process, and encourage anyone interested to contact me.
